S.A.T. 5749 CODORNICES URGELL has, since the start of the 1980s, dedicated great efforts to the breeding of cynegetic quail and subsequently to the breeding of red partridge, which is native to the Iberian peninsular.

In this section most effort has been put into the genetics of the said animals. In the case of the quail, we have achieved a high-quality product, suitable for hunting and for insemination in game preserves. Its main characteristics are its strength of flight (which is acquired in special flying ranges and with proper diet), its reduced size, its large wingspan and its plumage.

Our company has created a wholly differentiated line for the reproduction, incubation and breeding of this quail. Moreover, the results have been field tested, producing a highly satisfactory outcome in hunting with dogs, with a proven source of flight strength for shooting.

The production of this cynegetic species takes place throughout the year, meaning it is a product our customers can count on at all times. The sanitary control of our animals ensures that, once released in the fields, they will not present any danger to the local wildlife. The health inspections carried out by our vet are rigorous, with no specimens being distributed without proper prior authorisation.
