Over recent years this division has been the most bolstered in terms of human and economic resources, the result of which is a model incubation room, where we can guarantee proper production and health in all chicks. The reception, classification, disinfection and handling stages for the eggs destined to incubation are supervised by the Facility Head, who also ensures the quality of all eggs received.

There are regular bacteria controls of the room, which are carried out by the officially approved laboratory of the company COPAGA S.COOP. and ratified by the C.E.S.A.C. (Catalonia Animal Health Centre) laboratory. The incubation periods are automatically controlled by the ultramodern incubators which the company has installed at its plant, whilst the handling of the chick is cared for right down to the last detail.

There are currently four weekly hatchings which are carried out manually (as seen in the dispatch room details). Once the chicks are positioned in the transports trays, they are distributed to breeding units by way of specially prepared vehicles with climate control.

We have now achieved a high level of genetics, which will provide great results in this field, and the repopulation of the red partridge is an outstanding success. S.A.T. 5749 "CODORNICES URGELL" has a modern incubation plant in order to guarantee, right from the start, perfect production and excellent health in the chicken. Moreover, the company has completely renewed all its feeding facilities, which are now computerised throughout.
