Over recent years, the company has carried out an overhaul of the entire battery system (the cubicles where the animals are deposited for reproduction or production of eggs), and we now use broader modules which allow the partridge to be more comfortable and have more room to move around.

The facilities are automatically controlled with regards to temperature, air and humidity, allowing us to achieve an optimal environment for reproduction or laying. The eggs are collected on a daily basis and placed on special trays, leaving them ready for transport to the Incubation Room or to the Packaging Section.

The eggs are collected manually, thus allowing for an initial selection, with a percentage of eggs being withdrawn. In the case of eggs destined to the incubation room, all eggs which have any kind of defect are withdrawn, whilst in the case of eggs for consumption, apart from withdrawing eggs with any kind of defect, we also take maximum care to ensure suitable egg size, withdrawing the smallest ones. The consumption of eggs, given their properties and healthy characteristics is currently on the rise, and to this end the company has facilities dedicated to eggs for consumption, under the commercial name URGASA (URGEL GANADERA, S.A.). Our company puts great care into all the details in consumption, taking great care with diet and avoiding any types of medication, thus achieving a high-quality product.
